Double - decker bus project
Living, traveling and working in a mobile home

A home that goes with us
Sometimes life throws you a curveball you can no longer ignore. For us, it came with a notice of termination due to the landlord's own use of the property – and the realization of just how precarious things we take for granted can be. Our response wasn't to retreat, but to make a clear decision: We're creating a home that will grow with us.
I'm Flo, a mother of two daughters, a companion, and a space keeper. Together with my husband Marcel, we chose an old Berlin MAN double-decker bus on September 4, 2025. It's becoming a self-sufficient family home on wheels – powered by solar energy, water, and driven by the vision of living freely, connected, and independently.
When the bus becomes the classroom
This bus isn't an escape from everyday life, nor is it a side project. It's a way of life. A space where we live, learn, work, and travel – together, as a family. A home that moves without losing its roots.
Our daughters are growing up on the road. They don't learn according to a timetable, but through life itself: through places, people, languages, nature, history, and culture. The world is their classroom. At the same time, the bus also becomes a place of encounter – for conversations, small gatherings, rituals, and genuine togetherness.

Where help and support are needed
On my travels, I act as a birthkeeper , breastkeeper , mentor, and space-holder for women, families, and young people. I'm there where transitions are palpable and support needs to be human, not standardized. Social engagement is equally important to me – especially in animal welfare, supporting street dogs, horses, and local initiatives where help is truly needed.

A project that connects
This project is born from self-reliance, trust, and community. Every form of support helps make this home safe and self-sufficient. More than just a bus, it's an invitation: to live differently, to take responsibility, and to embrace genuine connection.
If this appeals to you, you may already be part of this journey with us.
From the heart
Flo
