From rust shock to a film production inquiry: My craziest week since buying a bus

A phone call that changed everything: This week has turned my life upside down once again.

I've had the feeling things have quieted down in recent days. Fewer emails, less press, less feedback – almost as if the wave of attention was slowly subsiding. Think again...

But then came three days that reminded me once again that life isn't linear. It unfolds in leaps and bounds. And sometimes a single phone call is all it takes to change everything.

Monday: A newsroom from Bremen calls.

My phone rang at the beginning of the week. A newsroom from Bremen had contacted me and wanted to interview me. So we spoke on the phone, and the article is expected to appear in the BLV Bremen North weekly newspaper on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

It always touches me when journalists find me. It always feels special.

Thursday: We remove the cladding – and discover the full extent...

Yesterday, November 13th, we removed the paneling on the windshield on the lower deck.

And what we encountered there... let's just say: Cheers!

The windshield washer fluid line was completely rusted and corroded... leaking for an indefinite period, silently and secretly soaking everything. The result: rust. Lots of rust.

It's a good thing we discovered it in time. Even better: I immediately sent the pictures to Dominik (NeverEverRust) – he's our rust expert and our official cooperation partner.

His reaction:

"Everything can be saved."

He works with lasers and dry ice beams, among other things. Don't ask me how exactly that works – I trust the professionals. As soon as Dominik is finished, I'll write a blog post for you with some seriously impressive before-and-after pictures.

Friday: The phone call that made me cry

And then today, November 14, 2025, at 10:53 a.m., this call came.

I pick up the phone – and hear an incredibly kind, warm voice. After just a few seconds, I knew: This is important. This is big. This is completely crazy. The woman works for a film production company. For a very big, very well-known show on a very well-known TV channel.

And she wants to film a movie with me/us as soon as the bus is about 75% finished. Maybe September 2026? I'm not allowed to mention any names, networks, or production companies. But I promise you:

You're all going to go ballistic when it happens. And I'll share everything as soon as I'm allowed.

10 weeks – and the results so far

Since the bus was purchased on September 4, 2025 until today (November 14, 2025):

  • 18 newspaper articles

  • 1 Podcast

  • 2 TV shoots

  • 2 large trade fair invitations

  • 1 film production inquiry

  • and every day new doors open

I am incredibly grateful. And proud. Because I have 26 very tough years behind me – and today I get to experience what happens when you never stop believing in yourself.

It's not about happiness.

It's about courage.

It's about attitude.

It's about carrying on despite everything.

A message to editorial offices, journalists, companies, sponsors & production companies

I'm converting an old double-decker bus into our family home because we received a notice of termination due to owner occupancy and we want our own home that no one can take away from us.

  • I want to use it to travel around Germany and Europe,

  • Helping animals in need

  • Visiting children in homes,

  • Supporting women during pregnancy and motherhood,

  • Doing good,

  • and act as a birthkeeper, breastkeeper, and coach.

  • I'm going to write a book.

  • I'm going to make a documentary.

  • I will be speaking on stages.

My motto in life:

Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Anyone who would like to support us – as a sponsor, cooperation partner or supporter – is welcome to contact me at any time.

I offer a growing community, regular press coverage, recurring TV reporting, and a project that evokes strong emotions and touches people.

Your brand will be immediately and authentically visible:

  • Placing your products or services in the real everyday life of a young family

  • Recurring mentions on my blog, Instagram & TikTok

  • Permanent visibility through the bus itself (nationwide and Europe-wide reach)

  • Presence in newspaper articles, TV reports and podcasts, when thematically appropriate.

  • Long-term partnership potential, as the bus will be used for many years.

  • Image enhancement through supporting a courageous, social and sustainable project

In short:

They benefit from genuine attention, emotional storytelling, high identification values – and a family story that moves people.

For everyone who asked: Yes, I have a donation account and an Amazon wishlist.

It's not about begging.

It's about the principle of give and take.

Just as people support me, I support others every day.
