Sometimes events happen so quickly that I can hardly keep up with writing everything down.
So much has happened in the last few weeks – and every single experience brings us a step closer to our big goal: a self-sufficient home on eight wheels.
Podcast with Henning – CamperMen
On October 21, 2025, I had the opportunity to speak with Henning from the CamperMen podcast.
Henning is a camping enthusiast, a dad – and funnily enough, even from my region. We talked for an hour, laughed, and had a really deep conversation about our project.
It was simply very pleasant – Henning has such a great, warm voice, I could easily listen to it for two hours.
Thank you, dear Henning, for contacting me!
The episode was released on October 30, 2025 and can be heard on all podcast platforms.

Driving lessons & progress:
Meanwhile, Marcel's work continued as well:
On October 27th and 31st, 2025, he had his next truck driving lessons – another important step towards independence.
The theory test is scheduled for November 17th, the practical test has already been scheduled, and he will hold his driver's license in his hands at the beginning of December.
Another major milestone on our journey.
TV shoot with NEWS5 & SAT.1 Regional
The NEWS5 team visited us on October 28, 2025 – an exciting day!
The video footage is now available to ARD, ZDF, RTL, SAT.1 and other broadcasters.
You can see the article here: news5
Just one week later, on November 6, 2025, SAT.1 Regional Bremen & Lower Saxony visited us. The team filmed with us for about two and a half hours – and what can I say? It was simply fantastic. We had so much fun!
Social media content was created in parallel, so it's quite possible that an Instagram reel will soon be published on SAT.1 Regional. Here too, I simply want to say thank you – for noticing me and finding your way to me.
The finished segment will air on television between weeks 46 and 48 at 5:30 PM and will then remain available in the SAT.1 media library for two years. I will also receive the clip and, of course, share it with you – including a mention of SAT.1, naturally.
And for everyone who wants to be there live:
I'm planning an Instagram Live with Sebastian Peters from NEWS5 soon to talk about the filming, the process, and the media coverage. I'll let you know the date and time as soon as it's set!
Buxtehuder Wochenblatt – Part 2
Today, November 7, 2025, the Buxtehuder Wochenblatt visited us again.
Exactly two months ago – on September 4th, the day we bought the bus – the first article about us was written.
The second report will follow, and is expected to be published in week 46 or 47.
I am absolutely delighted because it shows that our history lives on here in the region and inspires people.
Media coverage & reach:
We are now a topic of conversation in at least five German states – Hamburg, Bremen, Lower Saxony, Berlin and Hesse.
On October 31, 2025, FOCUS Online also reported on us – another big step for our visibility and reach.
Cooperation with workshop
A very special collaboration is about to begin, and I'm really looking forward to it: Our bus will soon be in a workshop that, as part of a sponsorship, will be helping us to professionally remove all the rust. For security reasons, we will only announce the name after the bus has been picked up.
Furthermore, I'm currently in talks with a solar company to implement a sustainable energy supply for the bus. Before we start, however, we still need to check the roof load capacity and compare different systems – but the discussions are already very promising.
Progress on the bus
A lot has changed inside as well:
All seats, grab rails, interior trim, ceiling panels, fiberglass components, displays, and baseboards have been removed. The bus is now almost completely gutted – ready for rebuilding with a wood-look finish.
Step by step, we're transforming it into our home.
I can hardly believe how much has happened since September 4th. From the initial idea to newspaper articles, podcasts, and TV shoots, right through to our first collaborations – all in just two months. And the best part? This is just the beginning. 2026 is going to be even more exciting.
See you soon,
Your Flo
