"They'll damage their windshield. That'll be expensive."

That's what we were told when we ventured onto the bus's large front display. And honestly, we all had that brief moment where we thought – I hope this goes well.

A few days have passed, and I have some news to share. A week ago, I was contacted by people on social media who weren't being honest. They wanted to buy bus parts from me – for far too little money and with shady intentions. Luckily, there are others too: honest, friendly people who warned me in time. Since then, I've definitely become even more cautious.

We went to a MAN depot and picked up the missing keys. We also tried to remove the graffiti from the bus – unfortunately without success. Nothing worked, so we had no choice but to sand it down. This means we'll now gradually sand all the defaced surfaces smooth, prime them, and repaint them.

Yesterday, Sunday, September 21, 2025, the Nordic Vancrew came to help us. My WhatsApp request for help stated: "2-3 helpers needed for a maximum of one hour" – in the end, there were 4 men and 2 women standing in front of the bus. And instead of one hour, it took a full 5 hours until the front display was off. But: we did it! Luckily, the display wasn't glued on, but only screwed in.

The work continues over the next few days: removing rust, priming and painting the surfaces. And next Saturday, September 27th, I have another meeting scheduled with a second newspaper editorial team – I'm really looking forward to it!
