Today, Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Sebastian from NEWS5 was with us – for a TV shoot about our passion project: the conversion of our old Berlin double-decker bus into a self-sufficient family home on wheels.
The recorded video footage will be forwarded to Sat.1, RTL, ARD, and ZDF today. We don't yet know exactly when the segment will air—perhaps tomorrow, perhaps in two or three weeks. We'll just have to wait and see. Sebastian will let me know as soon as one of the broadcasters has secured the footage.
I was particularly pleased that Sebastian took the initiative to contact me.
Many people think I send out all press requests myself – which, for the most part, I do.
But now, more and more editorial offices, journalists and companies are approaching us on their own initiative.
because they have seen our story and want to be a part of it.
It feels incredibly wonderful and valuable to realize that our message is truly getting through.
Working with Sebastian was a lot of fun!

He's doing a great job, he's passionate about it – and he's managed to capture our story exactly as it is:
Genuine and full of courage. We're already looking forward to more shoots and joint projects with him.
We are excited, grateful and full of anticipation to soon see the first television images of our bus!
Another milestone
Since the bus was purchased on September 4, 2025, an incredible amount has happened:
In just seven weeks, twelve newspaper articles about our project have already been published – from Lower Saxony to Hamburg and Berlin, all the way to Hesse. Our first podcast episode will also be released on Campermen on October 30, 2025.
And: I was invited to speak as an interview partner at two of Germany's largest trade fairs –
at CMT Stuttgart (January 13–21, 2026) – the world's largest public trade fair for tourism and caravanning – and at Caravanning Hamburg (February 2026).
There, on the living room stage, I will talk about our passion project, our new beginning, and life in the self-converted double-decker bus.
I gratefully accepted – because I want to share our story with as many people as possible.
who also believe in freedom, sustainability and the courage to follow their own path.
Workshop support from the end of November
Another important step has already been decided:
From the end of November 2025, we will be supported by a workshop that will professionally remove rust, treat and protect our bus.
I will share more about this collaboration at a later date – but I can already reveal this much:
As a thank you, the workshop is allowed to immortalize itself directly on our bus with its company logo.
This creates a partnership that demonstrates how craftsmanship and sustainability can work together.
This spot is not exclusively reserved. If you or your company would like to become part of this project – whether through materials, tools, expertise, or simply by contributing –
Then feel free to contact me!
OBI, Toom, Hagebaumarkt, Hornbach – perhaps you've already noticed me?
Are you interested in helping shape a part of our journey? I look forward to inspiring collaborations that build the future – in the truest sense of the word.
The next step: a German record

My goal with this project is to set an official German record – and to take you all along for the ride. Not only to prove what's possible, but also to show that new beginnings, family, and courage can find their place everywhere – even on a double-decker bus. Thank you to everyone who accompanies us on this journey, shares our story, supports us, and believes in us. You are part of this movement.
"Sometimes freedom begins exactly where you lose everything."
Yours, Flo
